I worked as an aeronautical electronic engineer for 27 years after leaving school before taking a change of direction and career and training to become a nurse.
I studied in London and, once qualified, worked in Cardiology and Cardio-thoracic Medicine and Surgery at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London.
In 2006 I moved to Brighton to work in Endoscopy and, more recently, Bowel Cancer Screening.
I have always been interested in complementary therapies, both on a personal level and also to support my patients.
This interest led me to undertake extensive training courses with Brighton Holistics to qualify, to Diploma level, in Holistic Body Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Hands Free Massage, Seated Acupressure Massage, Anatomy & Physiology, Pathology, Health & Safety and First Aid.
I am now able to offer pregnancy massage as part of my portfolio of treatments. If you feel this may be helpful to you during your journey towards the arrival of your new baby, please get in touch.
I am also a qualified Reiki Practitioner and can provide this as a separate treatment or include it in your massage treatment should you wish.
I provide therapy, as a volunteer, with local charitable HIV peer and cancer support organisations and, to further enhance my therapies, have completed an oncology massage course sponsored by MacMillan.
As a Dip CM (canine myotherapy) therapist I also assist with AchyPaw canine therapy – see the link on the recommended links page for further information.
Based in Saltdean, East Sussex, you will find my therapy room is close to public transport links, easily reached from Brighton and the surrounding area with free on-street parking available nearby.
